SOME HELPFUL GUIDANCE AND WEB ETIQUETTE:

Only your words travel over the network -- facial expressions, tone of voice, and other conversational nuances are absent from communications through the Internet. Please pay attention to how you wield your words. Teasing and sarcasm, for example, don't travel well -- that's why people sometimes type symbols such as :-) (look at it sideways) when they want others to know a statement is meant to be humorous.

TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED

When responding to a topic or entering a new one, keep in mind that the other users also have feelings. Please avoid trampling on them. Comments entered in hasty reaction to someone else's posting will be available to be read long after you have entered them. So it is wise to exercise moderation and good judgment.

You may find you disagree with someone. Remember, it is more polite and persuasive to take issue with that person's comments rather than attack them personally. Suggest alternative solutions.

Avoid "obscene" language. There are no rigid rules about this. Remember that we are a diverse community of individuals with varying standards.

5. Don't post copyrighted content without permission from the owner. If you cite one or two lines from another source, identify that source with all available information.
    
6. Respect privacy. Do not divulge personal information including real name, phone number, employer, or address about an individual that has not been disclosed by the individual on the boards.
    
7. No spam. This includes promotional advertisements, repeated off-topic statements, repeated posts of the same or similar content.
