Orca depend on Brinnon - Dabob
Bay, Jackson Cove, Pleasant Harbor, Pulali Point - For Habitat and
Food
Love Orca? They are often spotted in the Brinnon area.
January-February, 2003, a pod of orca visited Dabob Bay, around
Jackson Cove and Pulali Point, and surrounding area. About nine
orca put on quite a show. They twirled and played and also feasted
on an estimated 1,000 seals in the six weeks they were spotted.
There were many orca spottings in our end of Hood Canal again in
April, 2005. A lot of fascinating Hood Canal orca stories were logged
on the Orca Network.
See the Orca
Network for recent sightings in this area and pod movements
throughout Puget Sound.
