SCUBA DIVING

Pt.
Whitney, often overlooked and seldom crowded, is a very good site
offering sufficient parking, restrooms, convenient shore access,
and a healthy biosystem. Visibility is occasionally (very) limited,
8 to 15 ft, but the marine life in the shallower depths (12-32 fsw)
is abundant and diverse. See full review at Shore

FISHING
HIKING CAMPING

Brinnon straddles Hood Canal, a natural fjord that divides the Olympic
and Kitsap peninsulas. Over 600 feet deep in places, the Canal is
a large producer of salmon, oysters, clams, crab, and shrimp.

This area of Hood Canal is great for kayaking - abundant
marine life includes seals, sea lions, otters, an occasional Orca,
plus great blue herons, eagles, salmon and shellfish, fascinating
land masses in pristine waters. See Kayak
Brinnon for rentals.
